New seatbelt won't unfurl / unroll...

Postby Polymathic » Wed 27.08.2014, 20:07

My M100 came with a missing driver's side seatbelt. I sourced a seatbelt in the UK that arrived today. Unfortunately, the seatbelt won't unroll. It seems rolled all the way up and stuck. It looks in great condition, but I can't get it to unroll. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I know this is kinda obvious, and I apologize but....

If it is not in the position as if it were affixed to the car then it won't work. Make sure the orientation is as final position and the without any undue pressure it should slowly pull out!

Good advice, thanks. I hadn't though of that upon first trying. Sadly, it still won't unroll, even when in the proper position.

Well :? However, this is in the Wiki and may give dome insight in to the workings which might help to determine why it won't unravel. Good luck

I agree with epipete. When mine were refurbished by FDTS I had trouble getting one to unroll so I bolted it in place and hey presto was unable to unroll it
