This will probably end up with someone in the trade and be retailed in the future, or a serious collector.
Can't imagine it becoming a daily drive so that puts most of us out of contention. (probably)

Yep,

Looks like a nice deal for someone - excellent if it's a private buyer, but a few quid profit in it for a dealer (if he is prepared to store it and sort minor issues over the winter). Everyone wins!

Re: ALL CARS ON EBAY.

I went to the dealer today with cash in hand to look at the below car but decided to leave it for now, I guess I need to maybe realign my expectations a little as it was a nice example but for top money I'd like it in better condition, saying that I have to keep reminding myself that it is 20 years old.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lotus-Elan-S2 ... 19f1de2f0d

Basically there was a 3" crack in the paintwork on one of the headlamps, the lacquer was peeling off one one of the rear arches at the bottom and also a little on one of the wheels and on the roof you could see where the metal structure had been rubbing and was wearing down the canvas.

On the flip side, these things could be put right for not a lot of cash then you'd have a really nice S2 with 35k miles on the clock, or do I buy a cheaper version, re-trim, re-roof and re-spray and end up with a better condition car but with more miles on the clock.

Decisions, Decisions.

If anyone is selling a mint red S1 or S2 please do get in touch.

Thanks,
Paul.
