Good question Grahame, we worked from bare chassis upwards, so engine went in before front frame ( frame with radiator in ). I presume that the engine comes out with clamshell on, but it would be a tight squeeze, shall consult my mechanic tomorow & let you know. Although if your considering taking the engine out, it might be worthwhile taking that front frame off as it seems to be a rust area, clean & re-paint, & take a look at the fan cowls !

Thanks Paul, so if the front frame and clamshell are seperate items eh! and if both are taken off then you have a big hole in the front of the car hmmm
Cheers

Paul,

I'm pretty sure that somewhere amidst my magazine collection I have an old issue of a now-defunct magazine called "Supercar Classics" which has a feature about the Ltd. Edition JPS Esprit S2. That feature is the only reason why I've kept that mag. for 15 years!

More to the point, it has a lot of colour photos which might help give you some ideas for your JPS M100. I'll see if I can dig the magazine out of its hiding place and scan the article for you.

David.

Well, all snapped studs have been removed & tapped, turbo & everything else went back on last night, finished at 11.30pm ( long day from 5.15am ), & the engine started 1st turn !!!, what a relief, now back to Newcastle saturday for that re-spray, so won't have a lot to report on for a few weeks, but as they say in the movies , i'll be back !

John, thanks very much, ive already got some that were on ebay a while ago, although there no good to me as the stripes won't show up on a black car !. Mind you if you look closely this is the JPS Team Lotus emblem i intend using & can't find anywhere else. Cars still at TBR bodywork shop , so no news to report yet !
