I didnt have any problems at all on daily driving even at hard driving, but when I had to push the car at the limits and especially at hard U turns on a race track, it did give me the same feeling with a Mercedes CLK at daily driving, kinda "boat" attitude.

I already had custom made suspension by DSP, the local Lotus, and it was fully adjustable. Now I upgraded the whole thing, installed 1.2mm thicker springs of the same quality as the ones I allready had and 3mm shorter even though height is adjustable, and replaced the KONI shocks I had with KONI competition ones which were treaded as needed to fit my custom made suspension kit.

If you need more details I can ask my mechanic about em.

Cheers

Costas

Days seem like years.....

Its been almost 1 week I havent seen the Sh4rk and it drives me crazy!

In order to do a proper paint job the pieces of the body are removed from the car and painted all over without any use of "masking tape", thus it takes time. I was promised it will be done by the end of this week, but I cant stand it any more! I want my Sh4rk back!!!!!!

Knowing that the engine is done and me not able to drive it is like sleeping at the same bed with Monica Belutsi naked and not beeing allowed to touch her, now even more not allowed to even look at her!!!

Thats how it feels..............

First attempt to check if we can fit-hide the NOS botle behind the seats so as not to be seen by any curious Police Road Block search.

Image

Veli, what you have done with your engine is awesome!!! Is NOS illegal in Greece? ZEX makes a dual-tank kit http://www.powerandperformancenews.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=ZX&Category_Code=82100 so in your case you could install 2 smaller bottles but still have the same capacity as one standard bottle. For instance you could use 2 of the much smaller 5-lb bottles like is the norm in the UK.

Also I can't help this, ZEX's new machine-gun purge kit: (be sure to play the video) http://www.powerandperformancenews.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=ZX&Category_Code=RFPK Do that when a cop is next you & I guarantee they will write you up for something!

I much prefer the standard sound (another video): http://www.powerandperformancenews.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=ZX&Category_Code=PRG
Strive for perfection in everything. (given time)
Take the best that exists & make it better. (given inclination)
If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

TY all for your kind words, it really makes me feel that the Sh4rk project worths all the time and money spent and your comments keep me going.

Installation of Nitro started today, hopefully will be done by Wednsday.

Also today arrived at DSP Lotus the new set of Tyres, Yokohama Parada 205-45-16 cause i wanted to try something differnet than the Toyo Proxis I am using for the past 2 years (I use 3 set of tyres per year)

The Yokohama tyres
Image

We are under serious thinking of making a hole in the hood for an air vent to allow air flow to the Cold Air Intake, I am considering it but I have serious doubts that it may allienate the Elan Looks and so I cant decide about it yet, your opinion is most wellcome! Off course just for symmetry, another air vent will be placed at opposite side of the hood.

Thats almost how it will look like, of course it will be painted same colour with hood. The air vents are just placed on the hood, not installed.
Image

Costas
Veli, great work - I will be looking forward to hearing how it runs on the track tests. Any chance of a rough idea of costs?
TY Chris!

I shall post detailed costs after the Sh4rk project is completed, but if you want a "rough idea" of costs, if my memory serves me corectly should be 10.000+ Euros including full paint job (1500E), Quaife LSD (850E), New IHI Turbo and mods needed to fit (1500E), right shaft (500E), Nitro parts and installation (2500E), new front suspension (300E), new set of Yokohama tyres (600E) etc and off course tons of hours of labour work and trust me those ppl at DSP Lotus treat my car like if it is their own and on top they are best friends of mine. I really cant value all their work applied on sh4rk project, its simply priceless. The Head Engineer and Owner of DSP Lotus, Greg, has done most of the hand made work all by himself!!! I never set a money or time limit. I asked for what I wanted and they deliver it to me exactly as i wanted it to be, perhaps even better.

I know its a LOT of money to spend but dont go hard on me and judge me negatively, I aint got money poping out of my pockets, I worked my a$$ out for every cent spent and after all its about Sh4rk and I enjoy it! I ve been betrayed by friends, I ve been betrayed be GFs but I ve never been betrayed by Sh4rk! I go at my neighbour race track (40km away), drive the Sh4rk for a few laps, forget all my problems and drive back home with smile all over my face.
