There was a LOT more missing than just an engine. The suspension was wrecked, the driveshafts and gearbox are missing along with the engine. Where is the front bumper? The wing lights seem to be gone and the interior is needing a LOT of work. For 500 quid, it was a decent parts mule, but repairing it would have been a huge undertaking.
No longer an issue since the listing was ended.

Did it have red leather SE door cards on its 1st advert?
Are you becoming more interested the more it drops?
it is becoming more attractive for sure . And to be fair most Elans have the odd bit needing at this price range .
I quite like Medina ..

yeah the door cards haven't matched the seats, I was thinking cream leather retrim would suit the medina, by time retrim, new roof as its been repaired and also needs rear screen and sorting the steering and any other mechanical issues what is it really worth?, must admit if it was a different colour I would be more tempted, everyone ive shown pics like the colour but its just not for me

izuzu-lotus painted yellow in the engine and yellow brake calipers, I have seen someone in the forum who made exactly those modifications, i suspect its the same car... after all not many would think of painting the "izuzu-lotus" badge in the engine.

Sorry to disappoint you Joao, but my car has the Isuzu-Lotus painted yellow: done by previous owner. I imagine there are several out there with the same finish!

That ones been advertised for quite a long time now, with no takers.
It could make a good car, if you have the knowledge, ability (and parts!) to do it yourself, but the reality is that to get a garage to do it, the price would be far higher than buying a good one to start with.....
I can't see them selling it at that price, and I'm fairly sure it will end up with DVB in time.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I paid half that for mine, mine was fully roadworthy (needed the paid job tho), i think the seller will either take it to bits or lower the asking price.
I would take another project if if had room for it, but my garage barely fits the current one with all the tools.

It has body coloured mirrors so could be an SE.
1992 registered so probably is the original K plate, not so private really.

i though k plates were given to imports, also if im not mistaken the default plate at the time was A123ABC the plate is missing characters so i suspect it is a private one.
shame about the condition, my mum loves my elan but wants one in BRG roadworthy...

I might be wrong but I don't think all plates necessarily had 3 numbers. Also it's in Swindon and HR was a Swindon suffix. So it could well be the original plate.
