Hello HJ2, will you come with 240 hp under your bonnet ? Do you need your own private lane ?

Hahaha!

Sorry to dissapoint you, but with octane 100 it's barely 210 HP :smt032
No need for a seperate lane, i'll just overtake these slow-ish elises whenever nessecary :burnout:

Hi guys,
I'm seriously considering this trip and wondered what people do regarding the travel and accommodation arrangements, do people travel into Belgium and stay local the night before and again stay local after the event and travel home the following day?
Would appreciate any guidance and possibly any local Hotels that people might have used in the past

Thanks

I usually sleep in an excellent B&B, located in a historical farmhouse (where explosives regulary 'pop' up when farming)

They have only 2 rooms available, so decide quickly! You can park the car inside
Hope to meet you all there. (In Ypres I mean :-D )

Happy motoring

Hello Rob,

I know that several UK teams are used to come a day before, ans some even have a second night to visit around.

There is a post on LOTUS.be by Frederik (hope the link works) :
http://www.lotusforum.be/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=1938

Note that ieper (Ypres) is not far away from Doornik (Tournai) and Kortijk (Courtrai) and 1 hour from Lille in France.

Hope to see you there, it is "The Day".

Cheers Pascal,

I have some info from another member relating to hotel accommodation and looking at the trip going via the Eurotunnel |(something I have yet to travel on) so this is still very much on the radar.

need to review holidays available before final commitment though.

Looks like a good day out

Rob, in 2013 quite a few of us went to Ypres and all the information of various accommodation etc can be found here:
viewtopic.php?t=21781

But, know doubt you would have already looked through this thread which has a lot of information that might help.

I can say though it is a fantastic event and well worth the trip. Something I shall consider doing again that's for sure.

Decision made and now booked. :D :D
I'm staying at Regina Hotel on corner of main square: couldn't get much closer to the meeting point!
Tried the Ariane but it was already fully booked.

Daveiow when are you crossing? I am travelling on Tuesday, so staying 3 nights Tues/Wed/Thurs in Ypres.

Looking forward to it: hope to avoid speed bumps and cracked sumps this time round!!!!

Rob P: bit of persuasion: come along and in convoy from mine to ferry and to Ypres??? Practice for Italy :D :D

Hello,

With such a nice weather (cold rainy cloudy foggy - what else ?), we can only prepare the car for the YLD 2015, or sleep if mechanical work is already done.

This is the attendees list - maybe not completely updated - but it gives trend and some forenames. Thank you lotusforum.be !
