I would like to know how the wiring is done when switching to the elise/esprit tail lights. Is it as simple as plugging in your existing sockets into the new lense housings? Are the wiring harnesses compatible- or does it require a lot of custom wiring? thanks.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I put in this request for more video and pics of this beauty! Great job! I'm anxious to hear what sort of performance numbers (0-60, ET) you're getting now (without nitrous)

Costas/lotus Girl Marie:

The lotus dealers I have contacted have only the elise s2 light assemblies (lense and housings) in stock- these do not include the sockets. Did you order the sockets as well or did you modify the existing elan wiring to work with the new lights?

Final adjustments were made on Nitrous today since dyno day is coming [smiley=big_teeth.gif]

A new NOS Switches pannel was created to include the NOS bottle warming blanket switch, then we set the NOS shot at 75hp even though we did think of setting it to 100hp (150hp shot was out of the question [smiley=cussing.gif]). We hope we manage a 325hp without the NOS and a total of 400hp [smiley=yikes.gif] with the use of NOS (God help us! [smiley=help.gif])

The switches (all with safety on) go like this
Top left is the Purge valves button
Bottom left is the NOS bottle warming blanket button
Middle is the NOS bottle electrovalve switch
Right is the NOS circuit activation switch

Image

And with all safety off

Image
Bad news today... [smiley=sick.gif]

I had Sh4rk parked outside of my office downtown Athens. A few hours later an old Taxi driver in his Big Mercedes tried to park in front of me but as he said "I didnt see your car in any of my rear or side view mirrors, this devil thing is like a lizard!" and he only stopped moving backwards when he heard "Crrrraaaaackkkk" from my front bumber.... [smiley=po.gif]

Not a big damage, but it feels terrible since I spent months on transforming Sh4rk to "a dream come true" project and had also done a fresh coat of paint job a couple of weeks ago [smiley=sad2.gif]

Now I have to fix-repaint the bumber and lose "braindamage time" with insurances to collect the cost of the damage. Thank God the Taxi driver did make a statement admitting full responsibility and honestly apologised to me [smiley=sorry.gif]

Oh well.......... s**t happens....

Costas,
My hats off to you for your composure! I'd have gone ape-sh*t on the taxi driver and given him a good suing!!! [smiley=badass.gif] Well, it's nice that he did apologize and stay around for the statement. Mixed blessing, I suppose.
Onto more pleasant things. . .I love your sense of humor with the NOS! Safety switch to prevent accidental arming of NOS? Brilliant! Your work on Sh4rk is only outdone by your sense of humor. Since I have no hat to take off anymore, my toupee to you! [smiley=bow.gif]
