I need to lift the car though, so I have schedulled dynoruns either this Saturday or Monday and I shall take the needed pictures for you just before that. I have to tell you though from my experience that the heat shield that I installed that seperates Cold Air Intake from Engine area is VITAL, do it and you ll never regret it, trust me.

Costas - did you end up scrapping the hood intake and just go for cold air from under the car?

We got rid of the mouse trap but maintained that route and we installed a second one to increase the air flow towards the Cold Air Intake.

As Marrie wisely noticed it is more urgent to lead the hot air out of the engine bay than increase the fresh air towards the engine bay, therefore no intake vents were made on the hood and remains to decide if an outake vent is needed. That will be decided after some hard use during summertime. So far all the instruments readings are perfect...

Costas

Drove 800km with no NOS or Turbo, at under 4000rpm. Was supposed to do dynoruns today, but Greg insisted on driving another couple of hundred kms before going for +1.5bar boost and dyno runs. His opinion is my command so dynoruns postponed for another week.... :-/

My bad luck continues, today I saw that someone had damaged my hood Lotus badge :'(, perhaps while trying to steal it? Oh well, theres the chance to replace it with a Black one ;)

Costas,
You and your crew are Gods walking among men... I finally had the chance to catch up with this thread and have been left absolutely speechless. I only wish that I had a friendly neighborhood Lotus shop that I could take my own Elan to. Keep up the good work with the posts and the car both.
TommyK

You need to treat the Engine block accordingly as well for the pistons to fit.... While waiting for the dynoruns I arranged a Photo shooting by my good friend and pro Photographer Burzum. The pictures will be posted within next week. Prior to the Photo Shooting, Sh4rk recieved a 5+ layers of polishing and waxxing and the result was stunning.

Image

Now, keep in mind that this picture is indoors under very poor lights and see how the technician is mirrored on the hood and consider the low quality of todays pictures since I didnt have my own camera with me, imagine that shot at outskirts under sunshine!

Image

PS. Must thank Konstantinos, for his great help today ;)
