Distorted dash

I've got a slight gap between the fascia and dash top just to the top right of the instrument cluster, where presumably the dash components have warped over time.
The gap is small but annoying. Has anyone found a good method of "encouraging" a warped dash to go back to its original shape?

I have a similar thing on my car and have noticed that that the dash has drooped below the steering wheel. Straightening this seems to lift the entire dash. I'm looking at bonding a carbon fiber plate to the inside of the dash here with some polyurethane glue, to straighten it up. But if there is another way I would be most interested to hear it.

Just to say that after six weeks I finally got round to reinforcing the dash under the steering column. I made up some 4mm carbon sheet and cut it to fit it was about 37cm x10cm, cleaned all the foam overspray from the underside of the dash and then bonded it in with PU adhesive. I propped the dash up with some wood and clamped the carbon for a day until the PU cured. The result is a dash that doesn't sag, and now matches up with the surrounding structure much better, it does not seem to creak either now. I would try it

Good work! I'll have to look into something similar. What glue did you use?

I used the equivalent of tiger seal, just make sure you clean away all the foam on the back of the dash and wipe clean the dust.
