Hello friends,

looking at the LEC website banner, I was thinking ... could we have enough different M100 colours at Ypres to picture a 'rainbow' ?

HJ2's (or mine) is red ,
Ovi's and Fred's yellow ...
Pete's grey,

???
Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Grey - Blue - Purple

Someone to paint his car in pink ?

Pascal - 2015
2020 May 21- Ieper Lotus Day ! I'm not ready ! I need a hair cut ! Pascal - North of France - 1991 SE Turbo Calypso (faded to pink) Red and an additional Elise somewhere in the garage

No need to paint it pink.......just find someone with a Calapso Red car: it will have automatically turned pink with age (or embarrassment!!!!)

PS Dave isn't yours "red" ?????????

Part Red, pink and a sort of scabby spotted look where the lacquer is continually bubbling up :-D

I tend to think Calypso Red is the "Man U" of Lotus colours, everyone secretly knows it's the best and in their secret envy pour scorn and ridicule in equal measures on it :-D

Well, if you're wearing your crash-hat waiting for a response -
I've nothing against Calypso Red, it's a good colour if they are always laid up in a garage but I don't like Calypso Pink Elans...

My Eclat was Calypso Red and after 3 weeks in the south of France in summer it came back Calypso Red...
ECLAT ava.JPG

and it still is Calypso Red, which is a tad unfortunate because people think it's a bloody Ferrari, just because it's red!

My first Elan was Calypso Red....
elan1cdge.JPG

and after 3 weeks in the south of France in summer it came back Calypso Pink...

I was able to park the front and seat area in the shade but the rear was always in the sun and it came back looking like this (photoshop job)

elan1 fade.jpg

I asked Pat Thomas at Kelvendon Motors what was the best thing to do about it and he said 'Buy a blue one next time'... so I did.

I prefer blue anyway... isn't that the colour that the Football Champions play in? :-D

Hello,

well I notice that - thanks to french sunburn - your skin can match with the calypso red, I can hardly believe you could match with the blue one ...
:-D and

OK, we have red (more or less) , yellow, blue, green (metallic green or English green ? ), someone for purple ?

Almost time!

Thank god I am out of bed after more than 5 weeks
Pneumonia knocked me off my socks, and I am still a bit tired (understatement of the year...)

However, Hotel is booked (Villa Vanilla anyone?) and Susanna and I will be present!
I think this year I'll be skipping the driving like a mad man, but I will just cruise the tour so I can survive the entire day in stead of burning up in just a couple of hours :asleep:

When we are suddenly gone, we're back at the Hotel for a quick nap. in that case: See you all at diner!
Have a safe trip to Ypres all!
