The usual haunt, being the, very nice Coach & Horses in Weatheroak.

Dave, you probably will not be wanting to drive it all that way as a first expedition, you can use the Carlton - remember you're a, er, BOLLOCK!!!

Okay, spanners haven't been quick enough, so I promise that I'll park in a different bit of the car park, and won't wave at anyone in an Elan until I'm away from the car

That said, I will be bringing some items by way of 'Peace Offerings'....

1) plastic tubes for Petes rear shocks
2) selection of red carpet bits for Martin to decide if he wants them, or chuck them in the bin
3) nothing for Joao - unfortunately, Geoff is in Spain, and even though I told him a couple of weeks ago, he failed to leave the exhaust pipe for me to collect :(

Have I offered anyone else anything? I tend to forget these days, and most of you are far too polite to remind me without prompting

Would your red trim include B post pillar trim? ;-)

Dunno Pete - whatever is in Daves 'spare bits of carpet' box, but we live in hope :)

As I no longer have any need for red carpet, I'll bring whatever I can find.....

...much is old/knackered, but will make a good template to cut bits out of the 2 sets of main footwell carpets which I have (assuming that they clean up okay - who knows?).

Ah, it's like a '(un)lucky dip' - but it helps to empty my garage a bit, so keeps Mrs P happy!

(except some geezer up north keeps wanting me to buy stuff off him, so I get no extra space)

Well, I shall leave soon, on my way to Lichfield where I'm staying overnight, then back down to the meet. I only mention this as it's the first motorway expedition since I tackled my fuelling problem - fingers crossed.

Thank you all for turning out yesterday.

Highlights (my perspective, I hasten to add!):

Paul (wollah) made the trip in his very shiney green S2
Fredjohn's improved boot gas strut arrangement (which may have caused a run on 80nm struts on eBay )
5 Elans - all different colours
6 attendees - may be a record :)
Arguing with Epipete in the dark about some carpet that neither of us could see :-D (Thanks Dapinky)

Lowlights:

No-show from Tuga2112 - I've been in touch and he's fine; just got the wrong date and his PC is broken
Not everyone wants to spend half the time comparing their pension arrangements!!!!
It ended too soon!

Great time though - thank you all.

Great night last night; good company, great food and a cracking little pub.

Just got back after visiting the family locally, 350miles alround and the car behaved purrfectly, didn't mis a beat, so I'm hopeful that my recent issue is now resolved.

It's always the 3rd Thursday of the month, so next one will be on 21st May. Look forward to seeing you, although it is quite a trek from Nottingham: about 60 miles straight down the M1 and then M42. So about half an hour then!!!!

Yeah, I thought I'd be one of the more local members too... I'm in Nottingham playing with a new electric tram set from May 5th and will be doing 4 days on, 7am to 7pm, and 4 days off, but not sure how 21st will fit in until the pattern starts.
If I come straight from work does the pub do grub in the evenings as well as  ?
