and here is the link for the LED flasher unit that replaces the original Lucas one:

Just a heads up on the earlier post I made about the LED flasher unit from ebay. After fitting this flasher unit i discovered it drained my battery very quickly so either the unit was faulty (although it worked he indicators ok) or a poor, incompatible design. Not quite sure what was going on there but thought I'd share.

Hi
The wiring to my front left indicator/sidelight unit appears to be loose as it works intermittently (and a brand new relay didn't fix it) , so I'd like to know how to get to the connections.
Is it by taking the lens off? One of the screws just spins, so it'll be a pain to remove, but it needs doing. Can the nut or anchor nut securing the lens screws be accessed somehow?

Thanks in advance

Steve,
you can get access to it from underneath, under the bumper there are some holes that are big enough to get a arm in, they are designed to get your hand there with a spanner to take a couple of the bumper nuts out (one each side), it will be difficult, but you can get your hand in the connection from there and confirm if its loose or not. alternatively, take the bumper off (which seems like you need to do anyway because of the spinning screw).

Tim,
Any change to get some ebay search key words for the led panels you got ?
when i look for them i keep getting strips or panels that are not even close to the size required.
Still learning

Check out the links I posted on page one of this subject, the second link for the white side light panels is still valid. The link to the indicator panels is out of date but the one below will get you the same panel and is UK sourced too.

It's just a shame they don't do a yellow or warm white version as these are quite a cool white colour.

If you want an eBay search phrase "Piranha LED Panel" should get you close.

Good hunting.
