1830 Meet at Jim Clark Memorial Clock Tower in Chirnside for short drive to Eyemouth for Fish and Chip supper at a quayside restaurant.
SATURDAY
1000 Static display of Lotus race cars outside Jim Clark Room in Newtown Street
1100 Jim Clark Room Film show starts (venue nearby TBA)
12.30 Lotus road car run to Charterhall (Closed event). Press and photo shoot
1600 (onwards) Drive to Chirnside Parish Church
1715 Short outdoor service and laying of wreath at Jim Clark’s grave
1730 Disperse for overnight accommodation to prepare for dinner. (See below for dinner and accommodation details)
19.00 for 19.30 Dinner at the Chirnside Hall Hotel hosted by Club Chairman Alan Morgan. Also at the dinner will be eminent attendees from previous Jim Clark Weekends, including Clive Chapman, Bob Dance and Doug Niven and Ian Calder from the Jim Clark Trust. Guests will be brought up to date on the latest news from the Jim Clark Trust of which Club Lotus is a partner.
SUNDAY
1000 Newtown Street closed to traffic. Pits and barriers set up. Display of Lotus race cars set up outside the Jim Clark Room and selection of Club Lotus members’ road cars on display along Newtown Street. Display dedicated to Jim Clark in the Library opposite set out by Curator Andrew Tulloch
1100 Coffee in the Black Bull (optional)
11.30 Scottish Pipe Band will display and march along Newtown Street
12.00 Demonstration of Jim Clark Lotus race cars begins. Film show starts (venue nearby TBA)
1315 Race car demonstrations runs stop. Pits and display area reopened to public
1330 Public address outside the Jim.Clark.Room. Club Lotus Chairman Alan Morgan, will introduce triple F1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart and triple Le Mans Winner Alan McNish. Announcement by Doug Niven of the exciting future plans for the development and expansion of the Jim Clark Room
1415 Demonstration of Jim Clark Lotus race cars restarts
1530 End of demonstration runs. Pits and display area reopened to public
1600 Event closes
1615 Depart Duns via A6105, B6456 and A697 for break in the Carfraemill Hotel at junction with A68
