indeed, glad you are much better HJ. Dave good to see everything OK (almost!)

We are in the Hotel Regina in the main square from Tuesday evening: 14.00 ferry to Dunkerque so Ypres by about 18.30hrs.

On Wednesday we are planning to go to Diksmuide to visit the Izjertor tower/museum. Anyone fancy coming to see this very good and extremely moving memorial to WW1 and WW2 please let me know and we'll try to synchronise ourselves, so to speak.

Anyone any plans for dinner on Tuesday, as I know some of you are B&B?

We are doing the organised dinner this year too, but hope to meet everyone well before then.

Look forward to seeing you all, safe journey/bonne route etc

Things that made me smile, Ypres edition:

1. My wife fell asleep during the trip! I'm afraid she now only stays awake when corners are taken in a 4 wheel drift. Talk about trust!
2. My oil pan survived!
3. Whilst driving 3.5 hours to Ypres I told my wife that perhaps i could swap the PECO exhaust for a piper. She was quite for a while, looked at me for a while, and responded: "Are you reaching that age honey?"
