I'm hoping to come along as it looks like its going to be the only LEC semi national meet that is happening this year. If it's raining or it's bobble hat weather then I may think again, race tracks in rain and cold is not my scene.

Ditto for me, weather or work dependant but since I can't get to silverstone this year it would be good to get to this. Fingers crossed.

Me too, hoping to be there with the new (to me) S2 and lots of questions! What time do people generally turn up?

Jonathan - Those of us venturing on track tend to get there from 8am for sign on/briefing/noise tests/breakfast/etc, but the spectator contingent doesn't really fill up and get going 'til mid morning. Depending on the degree of inclement weather (or opposite), people sometimes drift away soon after lunch, but quite a few of us stay until it closes at 5.

Thanks, Mike. I won't be venturing on track this time, as I haven't yet had the chance to give the car a thorough check-over. I'm only about 20 minutes away from CC, so will probably aim to arrive mid-morning and hunt the M100s.

I'm coming! Got the day off work, and my brother is coming too.

Not a member of CL and no intention of going on track anyway (except maybe as a passenger....), but will I be able to park with the other Elans if not a member? I can't see anything that says you have to be a member it just says if you arrive in a Lotus.

No problems with parking wherever you wish. There is no requirement to be a CL member to attend - just to get on track (but you can still do the lunchtime parade lap anyway!).

Parade *cough* laps can be very good. Some people have even been known to do a full 360° coming out of Quarry.

I remember letting my Calibra friend loose in my Elan on the 'parade' laps a few years back. She almost choked when she saw how fast the cars were going. I think her words were something like 'They are what you call parade laps?'.

I will look for a group of elans parked up but as I don't know anyone please be friendly, another red se, so won't stand out, is there a secret greeting ? Biggest decision will be should I bring son or wife !

Steve, I'm planning to be there too, and I know no-one, so we'll be no-mates together if the worst comes to the worst see you on Saturday unless it's hammering down.

You can make as much noise as you like, my neighbour (with whom I get on very well) has been known to rant about being vibrated off his arm chair by my 2.25 exhaust! And as such this does cause some maintenance restrictions. Far more fun, 50 odd or not, is when it backfires as you pass a school, bus stop etc

Oh, bring whoever you like, I usually go with my wife (we like the curry that they do in the cafe - though others will take a BBQ), the LEC, to my experience is full of good folks who won't eat anyone

Occurred to me last night that I had never added a profile picture. so after much fiddling actually managed to upload a pic. what staggered me was that I have been a member since 07 ! how have I managed to not meet anyone, I must be ant anti-social. Probably going to bring son, then finance department won't know what I want to spend.
