Good to meet up with the old timers (Jim, Spud, Mike & Martyn but where the hell did you get to Pete, you owed me a coffee you tightwad?) and a few new faces: Ian (mayelan), Nigel (Brmelan), Jonathan (Saltire) and Kathryn. Top marks to the last two for organising the S2 parking sorted next to the rubbish bin and a Dino. Hope the parade lap went well Kathryn - sorry I lost you but I seemed to have left a bit of a gap to the car in front and I thought I'd better catch up. :burnout:

Hmm - indeed good to see the old timers, but how come I missed all the newbies? Obviously something I didn't say. Sorry all!

Great fun today ... and many thanks for that Evora experience Dave.

Next trip for me will be Brands Hatch on the 16th Aug. Hope to catch up with some of you there.

I was there for a couple of hours, had to leave as I had visitors.

Didn't see you Geoff otherwise I'd have bought you a coffee :D

Nice to meet you too Geoff. I said I was slow, but I think another lap and I'd have caught you up (maybe)! :P There were more M100s than I thought there'd be, and I recognised a few. I think everyone should stand next to their car wearing a name badge! :-D
I had a good day and the weather couldn't have been much better. ☀️

Cracking day :D

Good to see - Muley, Chris T, Mike (Mpx), Geoff, Martin, Martyn, Ian May and Becky.

Apologies to anybody I missed or have forgotten as I was a bit pre-occupied.

Thanks to:-

Alan Morgan for keeping faith with this event.

Mike for Bev's early pax laps in your Esprit.

Martin for my pax laps in your Elan. Hope Mum's party went well!

Chris, Mike, Martyn and Bev for letting me do my best to make your food come back up.

Chris for my pax laps and tuition in "your" Evora. Really helped me with my later laps in mine.

Easily the best Castle Combe Club Lotus track day in recent years. Weather gorgeous and attendance/participation getting back up to the good old days.

A great day, and the weather couldn't have been better. Thanks to all for making a newbie feel so welcome. Proud to be part of the line up of four S2s and a Dino next to the rubbish bin :-D

Dave, your car felt like it was never going to let you do anything wrong and almost certainly flattered my driving. Thing is about CC it's a track that you have to hold the car in 3rd so much of the time. Would be nice to try it on a longer circuit - can I take it to Spa please, pretty please??
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

When?

I feel a trip coming on soon! Fancy a cheeky run to Le Mans as well?

Can discuss Saturday while the ladies talk about disappearing car keys and the good points of us males!
