Just finished fitting a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel I picked up secondhand on Gumtree and thought I might share some pictures.
Fitting took a while since the boss kit needed a little modding to get it fit nicely but I'm pleased with the result. The wheel is 350mm rather than the 365mm of the original which makes it much easier getting in and out in my limited width garage. Glad to see the back of the plastic GM lump of the old wheel.
I pondered over a traditional yellow or black logo and strictly speaking it should be yellow but I went for the black as it suits the wheel better.
What do you think?

I like it!
I fitted an elise wheel to mine but find the wheel a bit thin to grip will probably send it off in the winter to get retrimmed

I think it looks really good- for a fraction of the price of a Nardi wheel

Hi ,
I think the wheel looks great .
I have just bought a MOMO wheel for my S2.
However I need a boss kit.
I would like a removable one preferably .
What boss required for Lotus column as Lotus not shown on their website but GM is .
I presume a GM steering column ?
As always appreciate people's comments and assistance
Regards
Nigel

Nigel,
I ordered the MOMO Boss Kit MK7903 which is defined as a Vauxhall Frontera fit. It may also be listed as fitting Isuzu Rodeo, Jaguar XJ12 1976>, Opel Frontera.
This turned out to be the correct spline fit and fitted the shaft fine, however i did have to do a couple of mods to it.
The brass horn contact ring on the underside of the boss needs a spacer under it to make contact with the brass contact fixed to the column, not a major job.
Also spigot that acts as the indicator canceller needs some attention too as the one on the boss is not quite long enough.
This is a fixed boss not a removable one though.
Hope this helps.
Tim

Hi ,
Thanks for your assistance .
Looks like removable may get the wheel too close to me .
I'll do some more investigating and appreciate the Momo reference .
I'll let you know how I get on
Regards Nigel
