Those bonnet NACA ducts don't look badly done either, although I'd question their value.
On the whole, pretty reasonable condition.

Go back 2 pages on this thread to 1st June and you'll see I posted it when it was £4,500. I think NACA ducts there are an offence against both style and function... :smt021
He's also selling some 17" x 9J alloys with Candy Red centres - not sure how those fit in the wheel arches either, and in the wet ...:smt120

One, maybe, for Clemo following on from the earlier thread on this topic:

The fourth photo is the 'sister' car to the G888 ALE in the link.

Also, this looks like an early car with Opera's but at a price!

I thought it would be high mileage as he carefully avoids stating mileage so asked him - answer was "its done just over 75k miles thanks for your interest".

I'd have thought 75k on a 91 car would be a selling point ... :banghead:

Interesting car :-D

it may be the "other London showroom car"... Not Earl's Court... The now defunked London Garage/ showroom, some say it was silver, some say it was red, this is adding credence to old conversations...

At first chance the car is wrong in so many ways for a Prototype, but I can guess it was made November '89 ish, it may be even earlier than G888ALE (Lotus had little ryme or reason when registering cars back then)

I'm positive that when Geoffers sent me the link, he new I'd be looking for things like a partial ABS fit.. The Delco control unit alludes me... One day....

I'll have a chat with the man who can :-)

One day I'll do the Wiki OEM ABS (system that never was)

Hi All

Does anyone know this car as it looks quite nice?

Also I know I'm quite new on here but does anyone live nearby and could perhaps have a quick look over it as I'm one of those people that hasn't got the nerve to buy sight unseen. :(

Beer tokens available of course!

Thanks

Goodness me! A G Reg SE with 81,000 miles for £8,950. Does have S2 wheels but they don't add that much value do they?

I think he's under the impression that spending £4k on the car adds £4k to the price; its not an E-Type. Unfortunately all it does is make his car more saleable but adds nothing to the price. £4,950 would be more realistic as he doesn't mention much in the way of mechanical upgrades (except shocks) so the usual brakes, wishbones, cambelt etc costs have to be factored in.

I love the phrase "unmolested" usually means they haven't done any of the useful/essential upgrades.

If he can get it no harm in trying I suppose especially if someone comes on here, having bought it, saying that they knocked him down £2k and think they have a bargain.

Mines available for £20k :-D Open to offers. Seriously molested example.
