I have taken the description and part number from the Service Manual.
The question I have is are these all the same colour or does it depend on the interior trim colour of the car. My Car has Graphite Grey Leather seats. Is the plastic trim In the car the same colour regardless of what the external or seat colour is?
I have just missed out on one on EBay as I was dithering about the colour. My trim has become very brittle and managed to put my fingers through it.
I presume these are no longer available from Lotus.

I think as all SE's had black hoods they were black, or at least very dark charcoal grey. I bought a blue S2 hood and it came with a slightly lighter charcoal grey trim. That was very brittle and I broke it moving the hood. I took it off and repaired it with Plumbers Plastic Solvent Cement and old credit cards glued behind and it seemed to work... but when I flexed it to test my repair it broke somewhere else so is just too brittle to use. The old SE ones seem to have more flex.

No longer available from Lotus but SJS do a more durable fibreglass one instead ...https://www.sjsportscars.co.uk/index.php?mod=10 .. but looks like you can have 'any colour as long as it's black'

Not quite true. Mine was broken when I viewed the car prior to buying, and I got the vendor to reduce the price by the SJS catalogue amount It's a fibreglass moulding which arrived unpainted, so I could in theory have it pink if I wanted (haven't fitted it yet). Note that it also comes without holes drilled in it, so if your old one is completely smashed - as mine is - you'll have quite a bit of a challenge working out where to drill them

Thanks Phil, I found the part number on SJS website and I will bear your offer in mind for a paper template. Mine is still intact apart from a hole about 30mm in it and hopefully I will get it off in one piece. Thanks for your help.

That would be really helpful if it's no trouble. No rush, as we're having the kitchen refitted at the moment and thenElan is in the garage with its cover on to avoid the dust (which is EVERYWHERE). Will hopefully have it out again in a week or so.
