Anyone had recent contact with Jeemy?

Postby par » Thu 09.07.2015, 19:36

I have sent him a PM but he doesnt seem to have been on the forum since May and I have tried the phone number on his SVS website but it goes unanswered.

Just wondered if any member has heard from him lately?

I've searched for the SVS website and can't seem to find it anymore. Do you have a link Steven ??

PS If you did decide to come down to God's country, please make sure you come in the Elan. If you came in Scott's MX5 I'd never hear you comig    But at least I'd hear the Paul Twatty rumble and burble miles away from my stronghold ;-)

Not trying to defend the current position, but I seem to remember last year Jeemy dissapeared off the forum around the time of the Edinburgh festival as he was heavily involved with the festival

Thanks for the thought Andy - I did look back through his poster history and I could see periods where he didn't post for 3-4 weeks but no longer, but it has been double that now, which is why I was wondering if he was OK - maybe he'll pop back up once the festival is over in a few weeks?

I actually spoke with Jamie earlier today and, since it is Festival Time, as we have seen before, he is heavily overloaded with the publicity and printing end of his main business.

I have been assured he will get online to LEC ASAP and sort out everyone's questions.

HelloHelloHelloHelloHello,

Apologies all, John C (BritCarNut) called me and let me know there are some worries.

I'll post this everywhere relevant. On 1 May 2015 I was told by our hubs suppliers they were just waiting to hear from the factory on arrival date for the hubs. I took that as read, and yes, you are right, during May through July I am 16-hour days for the Edinburgh Festival. After client work is finished, I'd chase things like this, but client work is never, ever finished.

I've just called them and am awaiting a call back. I'd love to be spending time on the forum but during Festival time its not always possible; ditto I'd love to be driving my Lotus but during Festival time, I hardly can pick up a spanner before the phone rings again.

If anybody wants to call me you can use 0800 066 2085 and my extension is 7, thats the best way to get in contact. Being out in the sticks, reception changes if you cross your legs, so I have to carry 4 phones for wherever reception works; that number diverts to my current phone.

I will be back in touch as soon as the suppliers contact me. I don't really have an excuse, I had to move 2 of my businesses which has taken months and is still ongoing, everything got lumped into the warehouse and I am doing 2-3 round trips a day taking things to the new sites, so its been difficult, and internet seems impossible for BT to install anywhere, The honest answer is, I should have pushed the suppliers and I haven't.

Hope you are all well. I am fine, just busy. I'll update my signature with my new contact details but be aware, I am still awaiting BT to install broadband, some installs have taken over a year and are still not complete, so the numbers may change. You'll always get me on the 0800 number, that diverts to wherever I am.

I hate all theatre and have done for years. Purely because although this is my living, its a hard thing to deal with, Australia call in the dead of night, Japan wake me up, US keep me up late, and everyone takes it so seriously I never end up going to anything, I am so annoyed with them all. All my friends visit and want to party at the festival, and I can get in free anywhere but literally all I want to do is give my kids their dinner personally and fall asleep before the next phone call. Shame because I am sure I miss out on some of the most enlightening new theatre and comedy the world has to offer, not to mention seeing friends I haven't seen for years, but once the exhaustion sets in, I'd rather listen to whalesong and get an hours' kip....

By the time mid-August hits and its all underway, we take the kids off camping.

Anyway, I will chase hubs more often, I am sure they are being done, but as you know we are very low on their priority list, I can't say exactly but I think they took on Kia, its more than likely our hubs are produced and awaiting seals as per the last thing I was told, but I'll push as much as I can and try to keep you posted. Loads of work done on my car months ago but never any time to post an update just now, but hopefully I am finally settled in steady premises and can start to live a little instead of camping all the time....
