For anybody interested, I have a limited amount of fresh honey from my hive available at £5 for a 1lb jar.

Back garden honey with minimal filtering so it's all good stuff. Also have some beeswax and a mix of propolis, pollen, wax and honey if people are interested in candles or health benefits of the bee mix.

Shall bring some to the show, but if anyone is interested please let me know so I can ensure you get some!

Was hoping to bring my new car (silver for the 25th anniversary), but it's in the garage awaiting a new EGR cooler. So I'll be bringing the Elan and am going to save the gazebo/BBQ/and other new camping gear for The Lotus Festival weekend!

Graham, will you be bringing your gazebo? I don't think we could survive without it! (Well you could as you'll be in the Bongo! )

What time are people arriving? I've taken friday of work so should be there around 2ish.

We will probably be over for around 2-3 and shall likely bring the Evora and the blue VW van so gazebo and extra stuff can be brought

Guess we shall need to know what vehicles to look for when getting to the campsite otherwise we will be spread out again. Or wave franticly if you see others arrive!

Arriving Thursday mid-afternoon. I'll prolly set up equidistantly between the shower block and the footbridge - unless it's very hot and sunny like last year in which case I will seek the shade again.

Heavy rain predicted all day at Silverstone on Friday. Arrive late and you'll miss all the thrills and spills. Me and Muley will be swilling in his M100/MX5 beer tent or the official Litchlake beer tent after the action has finished for the day

weather looks Pants tomorrow, might not be in such a rush. Think I'll stop at BBR and look at their Super 200 conversion, that way all I'll ever see of Rambo is in my rearview mirror. Well actually, nothing new there then.

Friday was an utter soaking.

Pitched in the rain, and stayed at camp. Sooooo grateful for bringing the van and gazebo!

Great to catch up with familiar faces again. Hope everyone had a good time and got home well. Sunday was also sadly a wet one from around 10am onwards.

The understatement of the year Chris The "mixed bag" contained light rain, heavy rain, horizontal rain etc..... all accompanied by high winds on both Friday and Sunday

On Friday the rain started at about 0730 as Jim (Muley) and I were enjoying a freshly brewed coffee and didn't let up until 0400 the next morning morning !!!! I can honestly say that it felt more like a Scottish day in November than a summers day in deepest Englandshire as the temp never got above 12C and with a strongish breeze the wind chill took it quite a bit below double figures !! You could even see the white of your breath !!

Saturday dawned calm and blue and good day was had by all. I even managed sun specs, t shirt and shorts and sun tan cream as we reached the dizzy heights of 18C. Some great, dry track racing culminating with the Group C endurance cars at dusk and then an epic one and a half hour show from the Quo. It was absolutely mobbed in the village stage area (poor Paul Young only had about 100 hardy folks braving the elements the night before ) and completed a great day

Sunday much the same as Friday, but slightly colder FFS !! Muley left so early he caught all of the Hungarian GP Scott and I left fairly soon after lunch. Didn't see Stef, Ian, Graeme and Shaun on the Sunday but they no doubt got washed out, cold and pissed off like the rest of us

Still, despite the weather, I really enjoyed Silverstone again and will be making my 7th consecutive visit next year. Best racing/entertainment bang for buck anywhere

G UK, Shaun and me & Ian set off from the campsite separate after packing, thankfully, in the Dry Sunday.

Watched the Formula Juniors and hung around gassing in their garage for most of the morning. Shame the weather turned so bad again.

We bailed around 1:30 and didn't get to catch up with folk before going sadly.

Overall, I think the show was lacking a little this year. Probably largely to the weather but also perhaps due to 8 pints of Pimms on Saturday resulting in not walking the whole track!

For their 25th I was expecting a bigger show. Perhaps SStone poured all their cash and effort into Status Quo??

Shall still be attending next year!

Must admit, it was lacking a bit and needs something a bit new and different every year. Their 25th anniversary celebration was just a procession of mainly boring silver coloured silver cars parading round the track at 20 mph

Next year might we see Stef driving her Formula Junior round the track in earnest ??

751 miles door to door for me and Rambo turned in a very decent 33.3 mpg. Not bad for fast motorway and spirited country road driving

You might be interested to see a very nicely wrapped M100. It cost the owner £1000 and was much cheaper than his respray quotes. Colour was closer to a burnt orange rather than Collapso Red

apparently the Saturday was a record attendance, possibly due to the Quo ? We struggled through the historic sportscars on Sunday morning then did a runner at 1. Pissed down all the way from Silverstone back to Glasgow. Probably miss next year as going to Le Mans Classic.
