It was a very enjoyable evening. with a mostly enjoyable drive back to stafford... untill a truck driver decided to cut the corner on a roundabout and nearly killed me (enters roundabout to get to second exit like me but on the right hand lane. the exit has 2 lanes and he decides to exit in the left lane). I floored the pedal out of the roundabout ahead of him by instinct/panic (which probably was not the safest thing to do) but apart from that it was a nice drive.

Dave,
Thanks for the Sliders, Still owe you that pint.

Geoff,
PM me details about this bluetooth android elanScan interface idea.
stuff like that data can be extracted, what needs to be done to it. what kind of display pages have you got in mind?
Im not commiting to write up any code but there is a small chanse i may take it up, depending how fun/painfull the app appears to be.

Pete,
I'll be waiting for those tips on restoring the leather and seals. with some luck i can leave Jamie's seals "workout" for another time.

To everyone,
Was a pleasure as usual, and i look forward to next month's meeting. :D

OK that'll be fine. If it's of any use, my alarm fitter is Coventry based and fitted mine (incl removal of old one) for £200. I had a Scorpion fitted. Same co. as Toad, which he also fits I believe. Can let you have his number (assuming he is still active!) if required.

Again, unless anything major happens to stop it, I'll be there..... perhaps I should order my food in advance by email this time?

Surprised at the lack of etiquette!

Just 6 of us turned up 'though as we were 'hidden' in the 'Smoke' there may have been another, unknown, party going on in the 'Lounge'.

Dave forever, and as ever ,a font of useful and intellegent advice; the image of John, dismantling a set of filthy rear Calipers into an oily tray on the table as all around ate their meals; and Martin, as ever offering insights if electrical wizardry whilst prevaricating on the subject of Fan cut in switches! And last but not least Joao, like me, sucking in useful info regarding Multimeteres and Brake Setups.

A great night again, thanks.

Finally, the food was not its best, and that awful Barmaid who was the epitome of rude, simply has to go!!!

Pete,

You're quite right, should have posted before......

But to address your points, perhaps the staff in the back bar are specially selected for the clientelle they allow in there?

Can't see Johns' brake-dissmantling going down well in the lounge area  ... and my sandwich tasted okay (I like brake fluid dressing).

But maybe I prefer it in the 'posher' side.

Pity the lounge was full when Joao and I arrived at 7.30. Slumming it in the bar had its benefits though, wouldn't want to brake with tradition! Have to say I didn't notice the rude barmaid, but I was served by a bloke.

Good to see you all again especially Pete as he will be departing for sunnier climes before the next one. All the best in your new (temporary) location and hope your Greek MOT goes well. Just await the invite out to help you on your car and with sailing lessons   :D

Who's intending to turn up this Thursday ?

I plan to turn up, but may not be there with the elan.
Got roughly 500 miles left on the policy and the renewal date is the 10 of next month. so it will be tight...

Hope to be there, if wife is ok.
Mind you I hope to make it passed the first few corners without hitting my team mate.
You can have some of my miles if you like , I don't seem to be using them up very quickly.
Got the hood back on , at last, now the weather has gone bad.
Got some Sikaflex from Screwfix and making some progress using the cling film process.

I'm out I'm afraid, last night with family before I hit Brize on Friday night!

Doesn't look like attendance is going to be high!
