Gauging interest in complete car part out 1991 Calypso Red

Apparently I'm unreasonable for expecting more than 7,000 for a decent looking, fantastic running hand-built British sports car with low production numbers.
If you want something, let me know and we'll work on a price. If I can get a fair amount of the vehicle 'claimed' I'll go ahead and break out the wrenches.

Man, it would be sad to see a car in this condition parted out.. I'd take it off your hands if I had enough...

- Space
- Courage to tell the wife we have another car we don't need...

I bought mine on ebay last year for about $7.5k. I asked the owner if he'd end the sale for $11k when the car was sat at 7,250 but he declined. He was a really good sport about it but I deduced from there that ebay is maybe not the market for these cars.

I wish you good luck with the sale and if you really are going to break it.. I may be interested in the seats..

At this point, I would happily take $11k.

It seems like parting it out with the aim of reaching 11k is a lot of work, dismantling, shipping, etc. and you're bound to be left with a bunch of stuff no-one wants (until theirs breaks!). Hope another alternative comes your way. I wish you luck!

WOW!

I've just checked the advert and if i lived stateside, I'd be putting my hands in my pocket to buy your car as it looks in fantastic condition. With that mileage they will go over here for at least £8,500.00+ ($13,000.00+) so I'd hang on for a true enthusiast.

It has some minor paint issues, they're just easily masked with a little elbow grease and good wax.
