Seriously, you can't take him anywhere!
Ok, given his poor, but understandable, reluctance, how are we fixed for Tuesday or Wednesday lunch, venue tba, by which time he may have returned to his senses and yet be able to join us?

Tuesday is a possibility.
Wednesday is definitely out.
I'm back on 9th October - when are you off Pete?
PS Bollocks to BOLLECKS: I think the MoT has run out.

Well, I think I'll let you 'world travellers' sort out a time and date - I'm flexible enough to fit with most ideas......
....... but if work is an issue for Jonathan, perhaps an evening would be better??????

We'll help you pack.
Good news is the MoT is valid until the 24th.

So am I correct in assuming that you two are good for Tuesday evening? Just waiting on Jonathon.
Perhaps if we use somewhere near you Geoff then we risk invasion by some of them Midlanders if we're not careful!

Chaps, just an update for you. I may not be free on Tuesday evening. I was taking Bentley the dog for a walk this morning and I noticed a swelling on his gum. One trip to the vet (and £68) later, and he is booked in for it to be removed under general anaesthetic, plus biopsy, on Tuesday
I will still try to come, but it obviously depends on how long it takes for Bentley to come round and how groggy he is. Suggest you go ahead and arrange a venue, and I will join you if at all possible. I have Geoff's mobile number, so will text updates as I know more.
Enjoy the evening!

Quick update: I've managed to get an MoT cancellation for Monday morning. This means we're off to Newcastle tomorrow afternoon, returning Sunday morning. Still going to Spain at 10:05 on Wednesday.

Updated update: Took Peter's Uni stuff up to his new digs in Jesmond yesterday to find out there was going to be chaos this morning for the Great North Run so we unloaded and came straight back - got back at 3 this morning after 600 miles and 10 hours due to the A1 being closed at Scotch Corner and the seemingly random (more likely drunkenly rearranged) diversion signs around Catterick.

In principle (awaiting venue suggestions), but still dependent on dog situation. He is at vets now and we won't know the situation until about 16:00 today. Don't wait for me!

What have Spanish Architects got to do with it. 'scuse my brevity, but I'm knee deep in Packers and the detritus of a life well spent or is that. ' ....,well, spent'?
