Scheisse seems to work.

http://en.bab.la/dictionary/german-english/scheisse

However after Bernie/Jean/Max etc promised the new teams a 50m budget cap and then introduced new engines costing almost that per season how did they expect to avoid headlines like this:

http://www.pitpass.com/52899/Marussia-ceases-trading

Perhaps they should be looking at Schiessen, as in "We shot ourselves in the foot" Sadly not their own heads! :x :x

http://en.bab.la/dictionary/german-english/schiessen

Really feel for the Marussia & Caterham guys now out of work. Much of this down to false promises and the greed of CVC & Bernie (teams are even forced to use Bernie's freight system at great expense just to keep the odious dwarf's daughters in style!) and the total meddling incompetence of the FIA.

Other teams with similar problems will not be far behind.

Crappy expensive engines, (my 1.6 turbo sounds better than the F1 car), tracks designed to put money in CVC's pocket, not to please the real fans, too many gimmicks, too many pay drivers, too many rules, how can F1 cars be only a few seconds faster than the lower series? I would go on but it is just too annoying. One more though, how on earth can a 17 year old have the experience to race in F1?

To Bernie, Jean et al, I have only one word to say:

http://en.bab.la/dictionary/german-english/arschloecher

After more than 30 years, I think that is me done with F1.

03 MG TF 135 Sprint (Partner's)
07 Alfa Spider 939

If you can't be a good example, then you might as well be a terrible warning

:agree: Some very valid points there Cliff, I'm with you on having lost the will as far as F1 is concerned which is a shame as there were one or two really good races this year but having seen the interview Bernie did at Austin last weekend where he said he didn't want teams going round with begging bowls that did it for me. His rules and all the changes they made signaled the end for these smaller teams and as for a third car for the big boys No Thanks.

I'll stick to watching the classic racing around the UK next year, up close and personal and definitely in need of ear plugs :burnout:

I agree with this, but after 5 seasons in F1, the teams' cars were still trundling around at the back. The best that can be said of them is that they are heroic failures.

Well put. You either improve or you don't. Marussia got 2 points total over 3 seasons. Caterham (née Team Lotus) got zero in five seasons. If you can't leg it up to tenth place in a single race during 60-100 races you might just not be in the position to succeed in F1.

This is fair enough and some greater improvement might be expected, however, if the 12 best drivers are in the 12 best cars, (with, accordingly, the best resourced and maintained crews) it becomes very difficult to get up to tenth without monumental good fortune.

I'm looking forward to the season starting already. It's the only sport I watch so unlike every other American who just goes from one sports ball to another I'm out of commission during the winter! Should be pretty interesting with all the team changes. Not much in the way of car changes but I don't like the regs on pit - car communications. I'd like to let teams do whatever they're capable of and let's see who wins- stop trying to make everyone the same, this isn't NASCAR.

I wonder what Jamie & Par think of Honda engines these days. Alonso and JB both agree they are shite. A real shame for Honda, they used to be great.

Everyone in F1 has their up & down periods. Honda were out of the sport when the other manufacturers began developing their latest generation of engines, which was a few years before they were used.
I am sure they will catch up. I believe they have exhausted their development tokens for this year. I am not sure if these get reset during the closed season?
The drivers may be letting their frustration show during the race but McLaren seem to be standing by their belief that Honda will come good eventually.
I think it will be 2017 before they start to become competitive.

Think it might be an improvement if they fitted a B-series engine from the 90's. I am sure Jamie could knock up a conversion for McLaren :D

The real problem with F1 right now is that they've taken away all testing. It's absurd. You want a new engine mfr to be competitive without the ability to test, tune, improve? It's not going to happen. Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault, they use every car in every race as their testing. Honda has no such capability.

Enstone back on overtime putting Grojeans Lotus back together.
If they really are environmental they would collect all the bits of carbon fibre and reassemble them.
No really lotus have always been associated with cash problems and this season caps them all.
I think this is the end for Lotus in F1 as whoever buys Enstone I'm sure their name will be over the door.
Guess I will need to alter my quote.

It's a shame Lotus F1 will likely be gone for the foreseeable future. We went from two teams to no teams in short order.

Agreed, great race and in the end well deserved. Did he bump Rosberg at the first corner? yes, but no stewards so all's fair. The conspiracy theorists will have a field day with Rosbergs mistake towards the end  traction control suddenly switched off for a second so Lewis could pass? Next year looks promising though, Ferrari are getting better and Honda have the winter to do what they do best.

Really exciting race, best in 2 years I think.

Rosberg was understandably pissed off but it's not like he was in a position to win the championship. But I guess to them each race is paramount at the time.

Crazy that Red Bull had a rocket today but somehow lost it in both cars. Also crazy how well my boy Jensen did. Bodes well for next year.

Absolutely agree. And it just goes to show that he's still as fast as anyone given the right machinery. I really hope McLaren and Honda can give him a vintage swan song season in 2016
