I am sure Honda will have a highly competitive engine in time.
I expect next year will be much better than this but have a feeling that we won't see the best from them until 2017.

The media made a big deal over the hat incident. I think Lewis passed it to Nico because he wanted to get on with the presentation then Nico threw it back because he felt that it was a reminder from Lewis that he was 2nd best. Nobody wants to hear that immediately after losing.

So, without recourse to Autosport or Wikipedia, how many of the 16 can you name? I managed 12 . . . .

Good old BBC - they advertise the highlights at 9.30pm and then spoil the result in the news headlines right before the programme!!! Idiots.

Managed 14, missed out on Denny Hulme (1967) and Nino Farina (1950). Thanks for sharing it was a nice break from work yesterday sat contemplating this one with my lad and trying not to review on the world wide web for the answers :D

Yeah the hat thing makes good news but wasn't particularly interesting if you follow the sport. Hammy was just distributing the hats, and Nico was pissed for losing 1st, and probably still thinking about lap 1 turn 1. He was probably wondering if the team had anything to do with his running off the course at the end too. He's not the stolid unemotional person that we know Kimi to be. Anyway, Lewis worked his ass off this year. Well done.

I got Hulme, but missed Farina; also (stupidly) Alan Jones, Jochen Rindt and John Surtees. Must do better :poke:

I would have been pretty useless so just googled it instead, most of the drivers names are familiar particularly from the mid sixties when I became interested and acquired my Scalextrix! But what does stand out is the loss of great motoring teams, Brabham, Alpha, Cooper etc, etc!

And, of course, "proper" Team Lotus (as opposed to Renault-that-just-happened-to-buy-the-trade-name).

I wonder what will happen to that name if (as is rumoured) Lotus becomes Renault for next season?

Well to be fair since Colin Chapman died the entire company has just been whoever has the cash, has the name. I got into F1 when I got my Lotus so that makes me clueless as to champs prior to around 2007.

Actually expanded the question when me and Matt were guessing to try and add the manufacturers name to the cars, we got all 14 of those we got the names of (well Matt did) and suggested there would be an alfa in there as well but still didn't get Nino Farina.

Jochen Rindt was top of my list, maybe the Lotus connection or maybe the tragic circumstances that he was the only driver to win it postumously :(

Good idea to do the teams as well - I'm one short at the moment and resisting the temptation to look. And looking at them, I think I've owned at least one road car from all those that made road car, except for Ferrari, McLaren and Renault.

Anyone else think Hamilton is a bad loser ?? He failed to shake hands with Rosberg yesterday in Brasil and the lack of body chemistry between both of them was obvious. Neither looked each other in the eye and I thought both behaved like there was no love lost between them.

Maybe Hamilton was still hurting after crashing his car in Monaco and was fed up with everyone taking the p!$$

PS Mad Max Verstaapen is good isn't he :burnout: :burnout:

Although not sure whether he did or didn't shake hands with Rosberg I though his comments about his driving during the podium interview with Martin Brundle was a nice touch.
I'm not a Hamilton fan but recently he does appear to be acting a little less like the spoilt brat that has gone before.

What was Vettel up to by taking his helmet onto the podium much to the annoyance of one of the steward who tried hard to stop him :?

All in all one of the most boring races this season, and I hear 2017 changes to the rear wings will make following another car even more difficult on the tyres :( They need to start looking at the fact there are very few really exciting races these days. Just my opinion of course

it used to be the boring races were on the boring new Tilke tracks and the exciting races were on the old classic circuits. Now we are even getting boring races in Brasil :asleep:

I know its boring and I usually regret watching because I am more han often disappointed.

A couple of years ago I started watching the Moto GP. That is far more exciting than F1 which gets more and more boring with every race. At least we have Max Verstappen though, who is prepared to take a risk and overtake just when you think it's not possible

I think the racing down your street is more exciting than watching F1Jamie. Certainly more overtaking and action and you had to take your life in your hands as you exited the pits

Great start by the two Ferrari's, shame about the red flag as I think it might have been a real tussle for the Mercs to wheel Vettel back in. lets just hope it wasn't a flash in the pan and we get some decent racing this year.

Wasn't that Alonso crash so terrifying to watch last week ? He is very lucky to be still alive, let alone walking away from a crash like that
