Steering wheel spline size...

Appears to be pretty small, certainly in comparison with a Honda one, I'm wondering if anyone knows of another type of vehicle which has the same size spline?, I have looked at a few including some later model VX but all of them are larger.

Lotus Esprit.

An obvious candidate since they use the same steering wheel but I don't know if that will help you or not.

The FED airbag wheel is the same design as the Pontiac Firebird/ Chevy Camaro, but the splined hole on the Pontiac/Chevy wheel is bigger.

I also read somewhere that the steering column came from the Isuzu parts bin...

The part numbers for the FED (SIR) column is different to the UK spec ones, so beware that what fits a USA car may not fit a UK one (they might do, but I don't know if the splines are different).

I've never bothered to see what else will fit, as the boss is removable from the Lotus wheel, allowing you to attach whatever other wheel you want to it (within reason).

Thanks for the info Cliff, I'l have a look at a Frontera in the yard first, all I need is the boss section which I should be able to fabricate to fit a Nardi I have as long as the splines are the correct size, I could use the original one as Dave mentioned above but I would rather keep it all as one and use a donor boss if I can find one.
