Yes I have seen Andy's car in the flesh.
Very good paintwork obviously, nice and shiny in all areas !
Wheels look like they have been refurbished recently with good tyres.
Interior is clean and tidy with no signs of wear that I can remember.
Boot was clean and so was the engine bay.
Windows were good.
Hood has a small repair as Andy has said.
A very clean, smart looking Elan !!

Hi Andys2cars, i was commenting on the rear 1/4 panels, you said it was only a front end respray.
you mention it had a ding, what was involved and was it declared Cat D ?

Retracted bid of £7k and three bids of £4.2k by a Texan (1 star). eBay continues to confuse me.

Me too, and I go to at least 4 normal auctions a month
A bid of £7000 12 mins after the 10 day auction starts at 99p then retracted 16 seconds later. WTF ?

How on earth can eBay condone having a member who has retracted 127 bids in six months - five in the last month out of thirteen bids made. This guy (whose real id eBay no longer let us know) is a prime charlatan. If I were you, Andy, I would complain to eBay

Don't EBay police this kind of bidding ?

You think that's bad John ? Have a look at m---l (693*) £2000
522 retracted bids in the last 6 months

C'mon EBay, we're fast losing faith

so 2 of the bidders on Andys car are of suspicious ..
Thats pretty shocking .
Andy is there anything you can do about that .. makes it look bad for you . Especially if you have to re list it due to time wasters .

Worse than that Clemo
4 out of the 7 bidders in total have a dodgy history
l---u (private) 127 retracted bids in 6 months
n---o (4) 73 retracted bids in 6 months
m---l (693) 527 retracted bids in 6 months
8---e (177) 2 retracted bids in 6 months
Why ?? What's going on ?? Does anyone have any faith in EBay these days ??

Thats terrible . I thought Elans had gone through the silly owner stage ... Well i guess we have , as they are no longer buying them . Just bidding and retracting again . I wonder if Andy is aware of this ... he's not been on today .

Surely this practice is unfair to genuine bidders as the price is bumped up by rogues ? It is also illegal

guess we will have to leave it to Andy ..
hes a good guy . he won't want to be associated with an iffy sale .
though not sure what he can do till his reserve is met . i imagine he will be a bit miffed if it ends up being re listed due to jokers .
