Rear badges

The badges on the back of my car are starting to lift and do not align very well. Does anyone know the correct positioning and alignment, is there a template?

The best way to get the badge locations right is to have a pattern car along side and take measurements. Any group meets or helpful owners in the Northampton area?

Good advice John, he can bring it over to Cyprus for a comparison, failing that go to the next West Midland meet, they are good guys there who will help.

Or, ask someone to post a pic and you should be able to eyeball it pretty closely. I'm sure if you're off by half an inch its not going to be that noticeable.

May or may not be of any help to you, but I took some photos before stripping my car down for the respray to assist with the rebuild (but then threw the old badges away and replaced them with vinyl decals in the correct size and font!)

When I put mine back on I think I got the spacing a bit wrong but you'd have to be an anorak to notice as long as the height and level is correct and the space between the panel edges and the badge is the same I don't think it needs enth degree accuracy.

Thanks, I'd given up on getting any replies! I've now got something to go on but I could do with confirmation of the distance from the bottom of the Elan badge to the bottom of the boot lid, I'm guessing at 1 inch.

Just checked mine and from the bottom of the boot lid to the badge is 28mm
