Its been in for a service/MOT and the garage say that it needs a Window Regulator and that they can't find one. I see mentions in here that its the rear-door of a Peugeot 405. Does anyone have any suggestions of a likely source for one of these, and how compatible are they?
Many thanks

You need a butterfly clip, that's all. That's the clip that holds the glass on the mechanism that goes up and down. I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago with my spare one. No longer available from Lotus but being made by 3d printing ...

with the door panel off and the glass held securely in place and those of us who have 'been there and got the T shirt' will have a look.
Sounds by far the best starting point.Fredjohn wrote:which part have the garage tried to source? The winding mechanism consists of several parts, all of which can break, some of which can be replaced (see above) and some which can be replaced with the sort of ingenuity often used by members of this site.
