Hanging doors on NEW shell!!

Postby Mike Y » Sat 25.06.2016, 13:55

Has anybody fitted doors to a new shell?

I am just wondering whether there is a knack to doing this to save time otherwise it is going to be a long testing time consuming job but I have to get it right.

Cheers Mike

Hi Mike
I have refitted doors to my car recently, they are relatively straight forward to do. The bolts on the hinges allow you to move the door in and out from the body of the car. Underneath the hinges there are spacer plates (which are a bit awkward) that move the door fore and aft. Have the door lock and striker plate in place before starting.

I know this post was a long time ago but I was wondering if there is any up down movement in the hinges. If so where?
