I owned JPS 013 and that was badged, not a number I would choose though.

Evening,
The VIN on this car is correct and it is an august 95 S2 number 743.
If the owner sees this on here or is a member I hope he does not mind the info being posted, I'm just trying to disparage any negatives, which are not fun when you are trying to sell a car.
Interesting point on the number 13, my car is number 313 so i'm double unlucky!..thats me for sure!
After this sight has kindly hosted my elan for a month (thank you admin) I have had no joy, quite a lot of people called but no viewers and sadly a few folk who were on fantasy island rather than this one called great Britain., Strangely it is the last of my collection to go, I thought it would be an early departure but he ho.
So I will be getting a friend to list it for me soon on ebay, everyone welcome to come and view and play with it, coffee pot is always on, If it helps anyone I would be interested in a project as a p/ex does not have to be a lotus just interesting, and can I please courteously ask for no negatives on here when the add goes live, if it at least has not been viewed, thanks chaps.

Thank you for the post Andy66
Without sounding negative Why would it be produced without the LTD number ? 743 is not an odd 666 or 013 ?
Has a previous owner taken it as a souvenir ? its just a bit weird .
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

Hello clemo,
Its a good point, I guess if the badge has been taken off or mislaid it would be impossible to replace with a specific number? maybe a naughty child with feet on the dash! something I spent years telling my child not to do on various cars..
I also hear of a special car coming to market, anyone on here? 95N S2 number 426 , yellow with 19000miles.

What an absolutely stunning Elan, that has to be a bargain in that condition, mileage and standard of work. Classic case of spending more up front will save you a fortune long term if you wanted a modified M100.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
