Sadly, due to lack of time and storage space, I'm going to have to sell my blue Elan S2. Although the car was in great condition, it has some rear-end damage due to spinning off a corner and going backwards into a ditch (not by myself). I don't think it was a massive impact (no injuries) and, as far as I can tell, there is no chassis damage, but the back end of the tub has a couple of significant fractures. The LH rear light needs replacing and the RH rear light is cracked. The rear bumper and boot lid also need to be replaced.
It has not been the subject of an insurance claim, and there is no damage record against it.
On the positive side, it does have an SPC hardtop (of course) - almost undamaged.
Refurbished S2 alloy wheels with nearly new tyres (possibly a couple of slight scratches from the excursion but almost perfect).
Hi-Spec front brake conversion.
Professionally reupholstered seats in beautifully soft cream leather (far better quality than the original)
Everest chip and a very good engine.
The convertible hood has been removed and is not available, and the hardtop has been sealed all around which gives the car coupe-like refinement. However, it could easily be changed back to a convertible if you really wanted to find another hood.
I was planning to repair it myself by fitting a new tub, but the reality is that it's going to be years before I can find the time, and I am soon to lose the workshop space where it has been stored since the accident. So, reluctantly, I am offering it for sale.
Before you ask, I have no idea what its value is now. Instead, I am inviting offers, preferably from an LEC member but otherwise I will list it on Ebay.
I will upload some pictures shortly.
