I'd be interested to know the address where the blue one is...... ;-)

Not sure, Dave (spud) - but is the best starter for ten that has been about for a few years. (and as the index isn't visible, I'd be going on the address not the car).... I can't remember if the relevant vehicle had colour-coded mirrors or not, as N/As *should* have black ones.

An address (even if only a visitor) opens up all sorts of avenues of investigation...... especially as I've just booked my tickets for next years' Isle of Wight Festival, so will be in the area.......

Dave (IOW) - this is a serious post, and if you don't understand the relevance, or the reason for my request, please feel free to make contact, or chat with Jim (muley) at your next Southern meeting.

Dave (P too many Dave's on this post!!)

Blowing up the image the index/reg no appears to start H45...... Don't know if this helps. Presume it is a very early car of significance??

Front tyre a bit flat, so possibly been off road for a while?

I met a couple at an LDC meet several months ago who was relocating from IOW to Midlands. They had an M100 tucked away on the IOW, but can't remember what colour it was, or his name!!!! Not much help really..................

The blue example has obviously stirred some interest :D
a. No I do not understand the significance.
2. It appears to have been there for some time, it's in the front garden and has either been driven in through the neighbors garden or craned in.
c. I will get the index.
Post soon

The car above shows laquer peel in the same places as the last pic I have of the right car, but as nealy all Pac Blues suffer, it's not a great clue.

So just how many blue elans can there be on IOW?

still, it's a starting point.

To paraphrase Obi-Wan-Knobi
This is not the Elan you are looking for :(
This ones a SE Turbo with standard wheels and calipers so if you are on the look out for a rare early N/A
This isn't it, sorry

That's my old silver one Mark, I gave it to my relative who lives just outside Stirling, he doesn't come on LEC and isn't a petrolhead or really into cars at all but he loves that Elan!.

That would explain a lot of things Jamie ie why I saw him as I was coming into Doune

He was struggling to keep up with me (VW Golf 1.6) LOL and peeled off before the bridge as you come into the village

PS If you want to donate any of your other M100s you know where to come

Just back from the morning dog walk and spotted this rare two-tone red and mud Elan at my friendly local motor engineer. Apparently it's just failed its MoT :banghead: on CV joint boots, and also has a broken stud at the back of the block. Deepest sympathies, but I'm sure Mark will get it sorted. On the plus side, the rear brakes were apparently fine

They also come in Palacio and mud. With added sprinkles of dead grass. :D (But you won't be spotting that one for a while until I get my brake fixed. :( )
