Here is something that might well help you Jamie - found a company down here that does extrusions, but critically has a very low cost for the die that allows them to make new profiles that they don't already carry in their catalogue.

They do EPDM in a few different grades and their catalogue stocked stuff is very reasonably priced.

Just thinking that getting a couple of special sections made could make seals much easier to make up from extruded rather than moulded lengths, using the same end-capping methods you are using for the side seals.

It would be a doddle to draw up a profile for the main lengths, but I don't know how you go on with making it turn corners apart obviously from making backplanes and bonding them on. It might also save you having to look for exotic profiles on rare cars in the scrappy too.

Like I said before Ian I'm not up for mass producing seals and never have been, all I ever wanted to do was make my own car watertight and if I can share my ideas and help other people obtain that goal without too much difficulty in the process then that's brilliant, unfortunately it would appear that helping people achieve that for themselves has met with a fair bit of derision and scorn. As far as im aware only 2 people have taken on the challenge of making their own seals based on the ideas that I have went out of my way to show to people ( it was never going to be many anyway ), so why the assault on me I genuinely do not know.

Sorry Aaron, only just noticed this, the answer is no I only have a couple of pairs of that version left, I do have a very limited batch of these though...viewtopic.php?f=30&t=25201 , no idea what to with them, maybe buy some more Elans and sort them out!.
