Sorry, been off here for a while!
Came off Blipi 3/4 years ago when she had a side impact. Good working order and has been in my parts collection since!

Finally
Someone had to ask what we were all thinking

What sort of mileage it's done would be quiet useful.

I seem to remember Stef having a failed turbo a year or 2 before the write-off so this should be fairly recently refurbished.

The actuator rod does indeed look bent

Maybe this is the photo angle though ?
This could be Stef's original turbo Ripster ? Maybe she didn't get the refurb. done ??

Hello.
This is the replacement turbo I got and sadly cannot remember the mileage. I also kept the old turbo and my car now has a refurbished one.
Looking around £400 is that sounds realistic?
Thanks

If its been refurbished and you have the receipt for the work done then I think £400 would be about right. Unfortunately if it hasn't it could be worth very little. I bought two turbos from members back in 2010 and Turbo Technics weren't able to rebuild either of them as they were too far gone. Parts may or may not be more accessible now but I'm not sure someone would take the gamble unless you were prepared to offer a refund if it couldn't be refurbished. You may just want to eBay it with no promises attached to it and see what the market is prepared to pay.

Shouldn't be anything wrong with this one, the other is questionable.
My new Elan's turbo was working fine. While I had the head gasket done, I changed it for the refurbished one I had taken off my old Elan.

I stand corrected Phil
But at least for £100 you have a turbo with a straight actuator rod rather than a bent, buggered one

And Steve Strange will flog you a genuine working one off an S2 for £250. You have to pay extra for the heat shield though
