Having been at this years TT and having to return home because it was washed out and with ferries cancelled, you would not want to be in an Elan. I stayed in a hotel but felt so sad for the hundreds of campers who just had no where to go. Thankfully many of the locals let them crash on sofas etc.
Did meet Hutchy ten minutes after his first win though

What about the weekend of the 23rd or is there not really any interest in planning a trip over?
I've not been before so I wouldn't have a clue where to visit/stay.

I happened to mention this in front of my car last night and it gave out a little whimper, think it might have been taken on the last trip by the previous owner and suffered somewhat, Turbo issues or something ??
I haven't been to the IOM before so might be something interesting to do if it goes ahead, would all depend on dates etc

Youre doing 100mph downhill to Creg Ny Baa and the sun is starting to rise with a beautiful pink sky. Your mind wanders and the Hotel looms. Brake FFS. Oh s**t I'm in the Elan with standard brakes. Do I jump out or press harder? Dave made it I might be OK. Phew!!!

Time about 49 mins- obeying speed limits ish..

Best time about 43 mins

Matey on bike at hotel says he can only do it in 35mins- thinks we must be mad.
