Made me smile as well.

There's some great video clips out there, too.

Shame I didn't make it. Maybe next time.

Maybe next year - shame to waste my £10 BAe pensioners discount. This year the Red Arrows flew directly over our place 2 days running during the W-S-M air show.
And the best Red Arrows display I ever saw was when they did one over the airfield at Filton - we looked down on them from the top of our building at the top of the hill.

I saw this, the Conewich, which goes to show that man's creativity is boundless:

Reminds me of the "Deep Fried Mars Bar" .... creativity inspired by the expression "a fool and his money are easily parted". Do they use a poopscoop to serve the Conewich ?

Ahhh ... the deep fried Mars bar. What made Stonehaven famous.

(Apart from the new year fireballs, the harbour, the Highland Boundary fault, Dunnottar castle, the Covenanters, Lewis Grassic Gibbon, the invention of the pneumatic tyre ... )

And the only thing everybody knows about is the ruddy deep fried Mars bar!

(Jonathan, you're obviously a man of discerning taste in seafood restaurants. It's strange that only a stone's throw from the Tolbooth is the place that invented the deep fried Mars bar. About 1992 from memory).

Talking of seafood, anybody fancy an Elan trip to the Applecross Inn?

Did the run to Applecross a couple of years ago in the CRX, would definitely be interested in doing it in the Elan.

I go there at least once, if not twice, a year Par

Best kept secret before the internet and the 500 WM. JohnW and I used to speak of it in hushed whispers in case anyone else ever found out. Now they have its still as good. But much much busier and twice as expensive

Mrs Fish's fish is still truly amazing :gathering: :burnout:

It was the SMG version, so the gearlever moved both side to side AND forward and back. No problem

I had a lovely afternoon in the New Forest a few weeks ago. Spent mainly taking photos of my car and cooing over pony foals! 40mph speed limit = spend less money on fuel! Didn't make it to Beaulieu, but I'm going to the Supercar weekend in a couple of weeks with TLF.
