Thursday 6-9 pm, Henry Box Playing Fields, Ducklington Lane, Witney.

They like exhibitors in by 6, but I'm sure last time I went they didn't close the gates until 6.30 (but don't hold me to that!) I believe it's £1 entry for exhibitors.

I was gonna say weathers looking good, but I just checked the forecast again and now it's not!

Mine was the only Lotus there! (Although I did hear a man say to his wife 'a Lotus there' as they walked past an MR2! )

The AC Cobra replica I parked next to was getting A LOT of attention, but I did speak to a young couple that had a liking for the M100.

I think Lotus had a hand in the development of the original MR2, though I suspect your man didn't know that!

Good that you were there to wave the banner for Lotus and Elans though

(seems like an odd time to hold a classic car show, 6pm on a weekday evening, you'd have to be close or retired to make it)

I had a new Hall Effect Sensor fitted and it's all ok now.

That's what the "experts" were trying to do at Castle Combe. At least the cause of your problem was identified

I thought they actually fitted it at CC - I was too busy sorting out a CAS oil leak to pay much attention. (but as I've never fitted one I don't know how long it would take anyway).

No, I think it was decided to leave it as no one was quite sure and I'd not had the cel come on that day and there was some though it might just be loose wires. I watched my Lotus specialist fit it and it took quite a while, he had to connect all the wires of the new style sensor, I don't think we had all the tools at Combe - soldering iron anyone?

Yep - I had one of those! (I said I'd bring it along so that someone who knew what they were doing, and had better eyesight than me could connect the wires for you.... also had a selection of connector blocks and heat shrink etc).... good job I bought it anyway, Nick needed it to fix his towing socket for his caravan.
