Original unmodified SE without MOT .
Apart from the red interior , door cards , ATEV wheels , carbon fibre piping under bonnet , carbon fibre rear light top covers , dump valve ,
But on the plus side This is a very early car with opera glass lights and even the rare early hood stowage clip shown in the boot but should be inside . I have only ever seen one other with that .

It's more expensive as it is highly sought after. There was only one Lotus Alan !! that left the Hethel production line

Hope you don't mind me posting on the 'wrong' thread - but at least it continues the 'ebay' post.

Car is now back from local garage. Sorted all the bits and pieces to get it though an MOT (drop links etc) and tidy a few things up (electrics / seals etc). Thanks for guiding me to SJ for parts.

I do however have a problem they couldn't fix. It's missing at 4,000 revs+ - not always but enough. Like a fuel starvation as revs build. I've had a scan through the history on here and the suggestion seems to be ECU related to cutting fuel? The exhaust has been changed and garage suggested the ECU 'may' have been mapped? (although it's only going to 0.6ish bar)

Feels like I'm at the final hurdle and when not cutting out, J-BRA goes lovely! Can you recommend a local (Barry South Wales) specialist who can help?

Thanks Peter - read a couple of old posts that suggest it's too much power trying cutting the engine management (seems to be when hot).

Keen to get it hooked up to a diagnostics if anyone knows anyone local

This Elan is definitely worth looking at for anyone in the market.
I purchased a stripped down full engine from the man selling it a few months ago, along with being a very nice bloke, now retired, he was a mechanical engineer and the RAC's chief scrutineer you could tell from the way he had taken the engine apart and labelled it that he new what he was doing.
The Elan was in his garage when I visited as he was refurbing the brakes and suspension and it looked very clean and well looked after.
He has a genuine reason for sale and it is a 74k example which is at the moment sitting at a very low £2.2k although admittedly the auction has a fair way to go.
