Rebuilt rack LHD- never used

I have a rebuilt steering rack, still in the box from the rebuilders.

I have not looked for a fair price or anything yet.

Who needs one?

Good question. What company and part number does it have on the box or in the paperwork that came with it?

Where did you get it? There are few dealers in the US that have access to OEM parts but Lotus never offered a rebuilt unit, so it would be good to know it's history and what constitutes calling it a rebuilt unit.

I'm not picking on you. I just have concerns about a lot of companies that clean up a part and resell it as "rebuilt".

I bought it when I got the car and never needed it (car is sold some time ago).

I'll take a look and get some verification of what it is. I don't know if there are numbers on the rack that can positively tell or not.

What else do you have laying around? There are always people looking for spares or repair parts to keep their M100 running...

I opened the box up (from 2011) and I couldn't find any documentation. It certainly looks great and has tie rod ends also.
Power Steering rack.

I just found an original shift knob (I think, I didn't take it out of the box yet), side panel inserts, some rubber seals and misc small parts.

I am pretty sure I still have a steering wheel adapter to use the Elise wheel. (I never got around to using it).
Plus Elise taillamps.

Get your camera out and take some pictures and list the parts you want to sell with pictures so people "see" what you are offering.

The bits aren't doing you much good and they might help someone else to get their car back on the road or more comfortable, or whatever...

I will compare the casting numbers to the new racks and let you know if they differ.

I think I know someone that asked about a new original shift knob. Let me know if it is new and what price you want and I will try to help move it.

Shift knob is used, but looks original and decent condition.
I'll take a pic- I'm thinking $25 would be reasonable (shipped within USA)

I'll get the numbers off the rubber body seal (not sure which one, rather wide) and some trim pieces and post on a new one.

The NEW racks I have have the same casting number: BE 4034700 so definitely for the FED. I found a note in some paperwork from Lotus that the input/steering shaft on the FED car is longer than the one in the ROW LHD rack.
