Going off topic even further, I have memories of being run over by a Scimitar as a 16 year old while delivering milk at 5am in the morning so it is one of theose cars I will always remember. Although I think being bounced off the front of the car is a more accurate description than "run over", the only damage suffered was 4 broken bottles of milk - the good old fashioned glass bottles with 2 inches of cream at the top!

I assume it is a faded photo - or an aftermarket colour (I had a Marina in BL 'Blaze', which was a similar orange colour) - or it is in Red Oxide primer, waiting for a top coat???

Hope you're not with PlusNet, it'll crash when you make your first bid, I had to learn the hard way

So did anybody buy anything?
In an idle moment over lunch, I tried to view the live auction, but as Jamie predicted Scottish countryside broadband wasn't up to it.

warning
Thanks, Clemo; I had actually been thinking about whether to return my car closer to standard, and you've helped me to make my mind up. And if there's anything from your burnout that you don't need, I might well be interested.
Good luck with the Jim Clark car; my early S2 Elise was spec'd the same. Looked great.

Just to close the subject of the AC, looks like that sold for 22k which was way above the estimate of 15k to 17k. I assume it wasn't anyone on here

It certainly wasn't me.
I tried to view the auction on their internet page but the continuity of the connection was appalling (that's without the video feed - video was doubly appalling). I guess it only works in bits of the country with broadband speeds greater than 1 or 2 megabits per second.

I viewed this car on tuesday. Its a complete pile of crap, its worth about 800+buyers premium for parting out,its in a very poor condition. Dont be misled by photos in catalogue.Tony Oh and the paintwork on the ac3000 close up was well naff in places
