New Front rubber lip and fixings

Blipi is finally going off for a long awaited paint job and I need to replace the front rubber lip.

Things change all the time so could I please as best place for the rubber, what are the best fittings & where to get along with any best advice?

I'm not a big fan of SJ's after they ripped me off but they have a rubber lip £16.75 SJ100B0011 & Kit of which I don't know what is included as picture shows something else £9.89 SJ100B0018

Have there been any LEC created parts??

I've not looked myself underneath however suspect I have original fittings that are likely to be crusted on!

I ordered two rubber lips at SJ a couple years ago and it was OK.
If I remember correctly it is directly available at walker rubber, which is the supplier, so it's probably a bit cheaper if you order directly from them.
Maybe SJ100B0018 is the three plates that fit underneath? Definitely not the right photo indeed.

Anyway, as for the plates, if you need to make them yourself I drew a SVG pattern (over someone's handmade drawing scan available somewhere here) and then made a scale PNG easy to print on a A4 paper (just print it at 300 dpi and it should be OK — I included two bars to check if the printing is OK). You then just have to glue the parts properly to have a full scale pattern to cut out of your favourite material:

Stef if you go on youtube look for Replacing the rubber trim on the front bumper of the Lotus Elan M100 Toby will show you where to get the rubber trim and what fixings you need and also where to get them once you remove the old rubber its a easy job to replace it done mine with the bumper off the car which I think is the way to go if the bumper is being removed for the paint job if not its still doable with it on.

Walker rubber was the people who made them originally .
May be worth trying to get one from them ?

Looks like the clip and washer approach is easiest, the SJ listing 'i' information tab describes washers & clips.

Re-fitting is the reverse of removal, but without the angle grinder.

Would there be any advantage to putting them on the S2 ?
From what i understand they dropped this plastic boomerang pieces on the S2.
