One of the rare sought after NA's - apparantly.

'1,588cc pure Isuzu muscle behind carbon fibre.' The only thing true in that statement is the capacity i think ??!!

Strange advert in many ways. Not a lot of info, but “£12,000. Please don't contact until you pay. It wouldn't be appreciated.” So we shouldn’t ask how much of it is cf, whether the delaminating windscreen is being replaced, what the mileage is, what Capital Gains Tax has to do with it, or why the top of the advert says it’s £12,500, not £12,000.

Just asked seller of above vehicle some questions!! Will report back if I get a reply.

Only positive thing is PNM are a reputable company, so any work done should be good.

Really? I wouldn't assume that. Have you looked at the MOT History? If they had it "for 3 years 6 months" and it then it got this when submitted for MOT, that beggars belief...

"Presently being re-commissoned for every day road use after 3 years 6 months in Lotus' PNM engineering garage."

I read (past tense) as

"Presently being re-commissoned for every day road use, after 3 years 6 months sitting doing nothing in Lotus' PNM engineering garage.

Although "being" probably meaning "wishing" :smt119

Wallasey- posh scousers. Wouldnt trust them. Yes, I can say that. Cos I'm from there.

Probably been used for a couple of ram raids and then sat on a street or used by the crims before being badly reassmbled.

Might offer £500

I also read it in the past tense, ie it has been sitting for whatever long time (with no work done) but is now being worked on.

However, his reply to my questions as follows:

Quote : 1. call pnm and ask to speak to Pete. 2. lots.yiu could Google that.thanks. : Unquote

So it would appear work is being done(!!) if as buyer I can ring up and find out!!!! and the car is built with lots of carbon fibre!!!!!

I have googled it and cannot find any reference in the construction to carbon fibre (surprise surprise!!!!)

Nothing like a helpfull seller: he'll never get £12 never mind £12,000 with that response.

Feel sorry for PNM who I still believe are a reputable company: hope they get paid for the work they are doing, and if that covers all the MOT fail stuff plus more, it'll cost a penny or three which will probably not be recovered in a realistic sale price.

EDIT ADDED: PNM and L&W are next door to each other on an industrial estate in Wallasey. However seller is based in Warminster : Bath post code

I simply don't understand the reference to CGT.

WTF?

Jim

"Cars also have a different tax treatment to traditional investments such as stocks and shares. They don't attract capital gains tax (CGT) if you make a profit on sale, as they are classed as "wasting assets", which have a predicted useful life of less than 50 years - even if they are still going strong after this time."

Well, the nearest if Frome and it doesn't look like that one.

BTW if I ever buy a car like that from an ebay ad like that, I'll have gone mad. FFS!
