What's this panel inside the hood storage section ? Looks new and has swarf nearby. Also what's the black plastic piece in the foreground ? Looks like it's a shrowd for some electrical wires ?

Looks like a replacement cover for the fuel filter, which someone has taken the precaution of earthing.
The plug cover looks like the one on the loom for the factory alarm.

Not on 3 I've had either. Suggest you ask the previous owner.. may be somebody's idea of a ground plate for an aerial to improve reception.

Simon - I have a recollection that your car was heavily mucked about with before you bought it. Can't remember the guy's name but he was a mrmber of LEC
If someone can remember his name you'll be able to look back at previous posts to see if anything crops up

Errmm.........thanks !! Could you elaborate just even slightly ?! Was it to do with electrics ?
It did have a new alarm fitted before I bought it and a new radio.
