Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

I would have preferred less wind and rain. Still, it kept the noise down on the campsite.

On a positive note, the hot showers kept going all weekend and the toilet rolls didn't run out. We did have some 'interesting' campers this year.

Car highlights; Honda Integra / McLarens / Group C / Classic F1.

Did get some free gloves from Mike Brewer..

Concerts we're good (quite a lot from 'my' era.)

Looking forward to 2018.

As a member of Club Lotus I get a code which I can PM you nearer the time if you want. This gets you a BOGOF and infield parking on the Club Lotus stand with special sticker. The 2 tickets for 3 full days, including infield parking for 3 days is only £99

I'm assuming camping is on top and depending where you camp ? (although if my wife finds out I'm even entertaining the idea )

Jim (Muley) and I camp at the nearest and easiest campsite to the circuit at Litchlake farm (sometimes referred to as Bitchlake or Shitlake )

£15 pppn for very basic camping ie about 8 showers and 6 male toilets + 6 female toilets for a field about the size of 12 football pitches

If you're thinking basic it fits the description. If you're thinking 5* then it doesn't

Mark & Jim, Minda and I both booked the Friday off work so hopefully at Litchlake by noon. Certainly before Friday night, we missed that last year.

Been in MX5 & Clubman past 2 years so plan is the Elise, its very tight for camping 2 up but managed Gairloch in it last summer .

After more than 10 Spa 6 hours, 4 Le Mans classic, 2 Schloss Dick, some Beaulieu autojumble... i think i'll try to go to silverstone classic this year, probably with the Elan.
But i've never gone to this circuit for any event. So i have some question to those who often go there?

How to park in the infield without being member of the Lotus club ? (I'm member of the Lotus 7 UK club, but i think i'll have problems if i join them with a M100 )
What are the "must be seen" events ?
Where to sleep ? Is there "a better camping place" ?
....

Steve - the Early Bird deal closed at the end of March (2 tickets for 3 days = £99 + booking fee). You can still get Advance tickets until 31 May which are much more expensive and you have just over a week remaining. After 31 May ticket sales end and there are no sales on the gate. Admission is by ticket only

You are this years LEC candidate Scott I've done it the last 3 years, with a big of help from Jim, and as I'm not going to UB40........
