Well, the first 3 on the list were so well behaved last year that Karen has welcomed us back with open arms.

It's up to the next 3 on the list to keep the LEC flag flying....

PS no donuts on the field, no noisy Piper exhausts after 10pm, no boy racer big chavvy sound systems....

And sadly the Smoking Dog has recently had some problems (from the Malmesbury FB group)

Hello people of Malmesbury. Nik from the Smoking Dog.
I am sending this out to ask for help really. Please can we all make a joint effort to respect one another when out in the evening especially the residents of the high street.
Since I’ve started at Christmas we’ve had a number of incidents where some people have loaded themselves up elsewhere or at home and thought to walk down to us, to only be disappointed or threatening to my staff when they aren’t served!
The disruption caused by them coming and going has led to complaints and licensing calling to threaten our licence. This would mean no more Smoking Dog!!
I can’t stress enough that being loud, abusive and drunk does not make Malmesbury better and very much hurts businesses like mine.
What we’ve tried to create at the Smoking Dog is an inclusive, friendly and relaxed environment where people can enjoy a drink with friends old and new.
We are not a place to come, get smashed and think you’re Bruce Lee!
I know most of you care massively about the reputation and safety of Malmesbury and I don’t want to ban everyone who makes a mistake because then it’s not fixing the issue.
99.9% of you I’m sure agree and the other 0.1% please have a think about what I’ve said and I very much look forward to seeing you all soon

Everyone in the town’s very sad at the problems, so let’s hope it’s all sorted by the end of May and we can enjoy our weekend in peace

Just had a phone call from Karen @ Burton Hill wishing to confirm our requirements for the May BH Weekend.

Confirmed the small field and Pinky putting his trailer into the long grass if he's bringing it and said at least 6 as far as I know.

Couldn't answer 'how many nights?' as I think some may be staying longer than others..

Might be an idea to start collecting names with arrival & departure dates...

Karen will probably ask for a deposit to secure our places in the field as it's a popular site for a BH weekend and I'm quite happy to pay for everybody as long as I get it back in £££ or

This is the camping list, Joao. Many more of us are attending the event, but we either live close by (like me), or are only attending for the day. Sadly, I may be Elan-less, as I’ve had to SORN it this weekend with the dash still out. IF I can diagnose the interior light fault this weekend, and IF there are no MoT faults I’m unaware of, I may still get the dash back in and turn up in the green monster. Here’s hoping.

:D We'll be getting the tent from the loft where it was thrown after a very rainy June at Snetterton some years ago
(Lotus anniversary) and seeing if it still all works, then maybe we'll be using it :o

Late to the party - story of my life....

If one wanted to camp here are we doing a 'group booking' or booking individually using a discount or booking direct and asking to be put with the LECcers?

Sorry for dim question - I have read the whole thread but my brain is mush
