If one wanted to camp here are we doing a 'group booking' or booking individually using a discount or booking direct and asking to be put with the LECcers?

Sorry for dim question - I have read the whole thread but my brain is mush

I think Phil Lotusflasherman may have the answer ... or i hope he does .

Well, I'm sort of lumbered with the group booking as Karen phoned me April 3rd to ask how many and what nights so I started a new list with 'in & out' information ... about time I confirmed numbers with her before the caravan brigade fill the site.
She was putting us all together in a field adjacent to the main site. (No electric hook-ups so it's 'proper camping')...

The list so far is looking like ...

1. Jim In Friday Out Monday.
2. Rambo In Thursday/Out Tuesday or Wednesday
3. Phil (lotusflasherman) In Thursday, out Monday.
4. Pinky, arrive Friday, leave Monday
5. Tuga (alone unless something very strange happens within a month) In Friday (unsure if afternoon or evening) out Sunday
6. Clemo (when he tells us the in & out days)
7. Steve A - maybe, if his tent hasn't gone mouldy ..
8. maz-r ... when please ..
Phil

Leave me alone, I think I know what I'm doing.

Short walk into Malmesbury from Burton Hill campsite and a few to choose from. Castle Combe circuit restaurant does decent breakfast that avoids having to use burger vans. I usually munch fruit during the day and just have a main meal in the evening with plenty of

Sadly, I may be Elan-less, as I’ve had to SORN it this weekend with the dash still out. IF I can diagnose the interior light fault this weekend, and IF there are no MoT faults I’m unaware of, I may still get the dash back in and turn up in the green monster. Here’s hoping.

Dash fault ... would you like to borrow a wire loom and speedo cluster ?

Sorted, Clemo, thanks. Dash went back in on Sunday and I took it for a highly illegal blast up the cul-de-sac. Started first pull (not bad considering it’s been sitting since September). And yes, I did take all necessary precautions before starting :D MoT next Tuesday, crying into beer Tuesday night, two weeks to fix the faults and see you at CC.

The new alarm is working well, and the fan override delay switch I cobbled together is also working fine. Runs for 10 minutes and then switches off, just as designed. I’ve also fitted all the harness for the seat heaters, although not the pads as yet - I’ll probably do that when I have the seats reupholstered.

Now for a summer’s driving!

Heads up for those attending: there’s only one (BP) filling station in Malmesbury, attached to a Budgens convenience store on the A429 at the north end of town. It’s expensive: £1.28 for 4-star last time I looked. For those who like it cheaper, there are Tesco’s in Tetbury and Cirencester (north and west respectively), and a Sainsbury’s in Chippenham (south), as well as plenty of choice in Swindon to the east. Nearest Shell (for those who like V-power) is in Cirencester, and there’s also 98RON at the Esso on the Chippenham by-pass (north end). No fuel at Castle Combe itself.

8) Well the tent has passed it's MOT but for some strange reason my wife doesn't want to spend the weekend "in a field with a load of blokes talking about cars"
sadly the memory of Snetterton June 2010 is still firmly etched on her mind :chair:

Funny, that - my wife feels the same! Perhaps we’ll have to organise a “partners’ programme” for next year.

Great stuff guys.. I've confirmed numbers for each night with Karen and paid mine (£13 x 4), which she said she'll treat as a deposit for all of us... expecting 8 Friday and Saturday nights, lesser numbers each side.
She mentioned there are electrical hook-ups along one side of the field adjacent to the main site (for 'the wimps'... )

I'm sure they'll be room for more if anybody else decides at the last minute...

If anybody else wants to pay in advance ... phone number is 01666 826880.
