Hello all! Did someone say booze... I mean my name??!

This year I am away on the Sunday so looking to camp over Friday night.

IF all conditions are right, I'll trundle down in my Bubble car. But not looking likely I'll get the needle jet adjusted properly in time.

Just back from an excellent Goodwood FoS and previous weekend the Classic Le Mans so have a few new faces I'm hoping to catch up with but as yet, I still need to confirm what, how and when I'll be attending!

This event really is fab and a full weekender (gutted I have my Sunday clash) and an LEC official attendance really should be possible.

Friday night has Oasis, U2, Soil 2 Soul, a decent line up. Saturday night has racing til late for the new 1995*2010 Le mans class, almost current, Jim & Stef would have seen these cars a dozen years ago at the LEC Le Mans trip . But then its Red red whine, think it will be campsite chatter then .

I think I will be enjoying the gig back in the Bitchlake beer tent

Will watch the last race on Sat then back to the beer tent before red, red whine. I have a new Silverstone dosser so can sit undercover if the weather is dodgy and drink my Royal Lochnagar courtesy of JohnW and Maggie

We saw Soul 2 Soul at IOW festival - not as good as I expected them to be

As for the others.... Oasis were never my 'thing', U2 were good in 1980 - but haven't aged well (musically), and UB40 are in the same boat (past their best - the new stuff isn't my cup of tea at all..... they played a gig at Pembroke Castle in June, and I was dissapointed, to say the least.)

Don't forget to pack some of Aldi's finest red Jim. I have a couple of bottles of that nice vintage Rioja that I bought down last year that you were impressed with

Looks like The Sauter is being dug out after 2 years to race with the Formula Juniors so some team support required from me and results in booze being (relatively) safe!

May be camping, maybe on the bus. If bus I'll be over to the campsite to meet you all Friday night!

Visited Royal Lochnagar a few years back. They have some good whisky!

My plans are such:

Aim to get there early evening to collect my ticket and set up camp on the bus in the paddock. No point camping one night when I can stay there.

Then head over campsite way to meet the LEC crew for a couple of drinkies and wander to see the concert, aerobatics and hot air balloons. I'll bring some whisky too.

I have Rambo's number unless it has changed but shall also look out for Elans although not everyone will be bringing them!

Looking forward to seeing you all again and what seems like a fab show!

Another great classic. I'm surprised so few of us go, same faces every year. Maybe Steves pics above will entice a few more.

Great weather apart from the deluge when Noasis were playing, very small crowd, upside I was right in front of the stage .

Another great w/e despite the deluge on Friday night that meant we forced under cover to drink red, red wine and listen from a distance. Stef didn't make it so it lasted longer

And on Thursday and Friday the Lotus M100 was the most represented model on the campsite, always getting admiring glances from whoever passed our tents

I left at 0420 yesterday and was home at 0932 including 1 pit stop. 325 miles in 312 minutes
