Some of my Lotus history.....

Postby dapinky » Sun 05.08.2018, 13:48

Whilst trawling through some boxes in the attic (post house-move) I found some of my pictures from the early 80's.......

......oh how I wished I still had the Europa! (well, and the S4 SE).....

.... and maybe the slim youthful body....

Once it was MOT'd it was time to sort the bodywork out (and interior)

It was Carnival red when purchased - the Old English white & gold bits were added when the FHC was converted to a DHC by Miles Wilkins....... that was a major disaster (logistically speaking) - i got the train times wrong and missed the last train from Paddington. Spent a night curled up on a station bench along with the winos and tramps of West London - got on the first train out next morning, and didn't care where it was going! (changed at Reading and back to W-s-M having been able to buy hot drinks and food on route)
